Message	La-Z-Link La-Z-Link and La-Z-Link OK, now that you know that photography is not dependent on the camera, I would say that for general use, a decent dSLR would fit the bill. Check Ebay for good used cameras. I bought a used D50 kit and saved about $100 over the price of a new one. If a dSLR is too big, consider a decent point and shoot instead or in addition to the dSLR.
